The February CE Seminar was a huge success. Thank you Chris Alch and all of the Rimkus staff, HSSK, and Lemieux & Associates for all your hard work.



ATTENTION ALL HOUSTON CLAIMS ASSOCIATION MEMBERS AND ASSOCIATE MEMBERS - If you have not renewed your 2019 membership, NOW is the time. Membership must be current to remain on the e-mail list, receive the monthly newsletters, and receive CE credits at future luncheons and seminars.

The 2019 Membership Renewal Form may be downloaded below. Fees for 2019 are $60.00 if paid by check or cash and $62.50 if paid on-line. For new employees, please use the new member application form below. You can help HCA grow; if you bring a new person to an upcoming luncheon and he/she joins the Association, your 2019 membership fee will be waived.

 



 



 




2019 SPRING GOLF TOURNAMENT

The date is set and good weather has been ordered for the HCA Spring Golf Tournament. Mark your calendars for Thursday, April 11, at Wildcat Golf Club, 12000 Almeda Road, Houston 77045. Flyers will be out soon. Look for the new options for this event!! NO ON-LINE REGISTRATION AVAILABLE. This event benefits the HCA Scholarship program and MD Anderson Children's Card Project. We are looking forward to your joining us.

MARCH CE LUNCHEON MEETING

Houston Claims Association’s March CE Luncheon will be held Wednesday, March 13, 11:15 am, at The Palm, 6100 Westheimer, Houston, TX 77057. The program, “Fire Damage Assessments,” will be presented by Hakim Bouadi and Dan Barbuto of Walter P. Moore. The course has been approved by TDI/Sircon for 1-hour general credit. On line cost is $37.50 for Members/Associate Members and $42.50 for Non-members. Please RSVP by clicking here by Friday, March 8, www.houstonclaimsassoc.com or 281.933.4028.

To help streamline sign in, attendees are encouraged to prepay using the payment option offered with the registration.

As with most locations, HCA has a minimum guarantee for the luncheons and a deadline to submit the head count. HCA’s deadline is noon on the Saturday before the luncheon. If you make a reservation and do not attend, HCA is still responsible for the fees. Therefore, if you make a reservation, your cancellation must be made by 5:00 pm Friday prior to the event. If not, an invoice will be sent to you so that the expenses may be recouped.


Future Programs:


April 10 - 1-hour program, “Twelve Rules of Contractual Risk Transfer,” with presenter Marcus Tucker of the Phelps Dunbar firm will be held at The Palm. This is also the Annual Meeting with election of the 2019-2020 Board of Directors and presentation of the scholarship awards.
May 8 – 4-hour seminar location and topics to be announced.
June 12 - 4-hour seminar at JS Held facilities

If you have a specific topic you wish to have presented or speaker you would like to hear, please contact any Board Member.

ANNUAL MEETING/BOARD ELECTIONS/SCHOLARSIP AWARDS

HCA’s Annual Meeting will be held at the April 11 luncheon meeting. At this meeting, scholarships will be awarded and the 2019 – 2020 Board of Directors will be elected. Anyone wishing to place his/her name on the ballot needs to contact any current Board member or the Association office.

 

ADVERTISING ON VENDOR DIRECTORY

Make you company more visible by placing your business card ad on the Vendor Directory website page. A link between the ad and your website will be established. Cost of advertising is $250.00 per 3-month period, renewable each quarter. Please contact the Association office for details.

 


BAGDAD ORIENTAL RUGS CHARITY EVENT

Bagdad Oriental Rugs is inviting all interested to attend an open-house at their business, 5869 Westheirmer Road, 77075, from 6:00 – 9:00 PM on Thursday, May 2. The events benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In addition to music, lites bites, and drink, complimentary valet partking will be available. MEMBERSHIP UPDATES
