HCA would like to extend a “Thank You” to Engineering Systems for sponsoring the November seminar in their facility, to speakers Dan Turner, Michael Craddock, and Laban Marsh, and to Bear Ferguson for helping coordinate the event. Your support is greatly appreciated.

“Thank You” also goes to all who attended the Thanksgiving Social at the Grotto Ristoranti on November 19 and all of the sponsors and raffle sponsors – Blackhill Restoration, Brown Sims, ProNet, Rimkus Group, Blackmon Mooring, ATI, Interstate Restoration, and Greta Walters. Congratulations to Marsha Johnson for winning the Texans tickets and parking pass.

SAVE THE DATE for a fun evening of casino games and prizes, silent auction, door prizes and raffle prizes, live music and dancing, and dinner and beverages at the Cadillac Bar, 1802 Shepherd Dr., Thursday, February 13, 2020. Complete information will be out soon. Both rooms have been reserved so there will be plenty of room for all the activities. HCA’s Scholarship benefits from the proceeds.

To help spread the Christmas cheer, all vendors are encouraged to sponsor a door prize for this meeting.
Thank you.

Houston Claims Association’s December CE luncheon meeting/toy and food drive will be held Wednesday, December 11, 11:15 am, at The Palm, 6100 Westheimer. The program, “Fraud and Fidelity Claims” will be presented by Ahuja and Clark, CPA. On-line cost is $37.50 for Members/Associate Members; $42.50 for non-members. Please RSVP attendees’ names to the Association, phone/fax 281.933.4028 or log in and REGISTER BY CLICKING HERE, by 5:00 pm, Friday, December 6.

Remember our December meeting is our annual toy and food drive. As in years past, the toys will be taken to the Fire Department for Operation Stocking Stuffers and the food items will be given to Pathways Food Pantry. To help make this one of the best drives HCA has sponsored, encourage your whole office to participate. It seems each year needs are greater and for different reasons. HCA is asking for non-perishable food items and unwrapped new toys for infant to 16 years of age. The little ones are always fun to buy for, but please don’t forget the teenagers!! Other suggestions include school supplies, underwear, socks, and toiletries.

To help streamline sign in, attendees are encouraged to prepay using the payment option offered with the registration page.

As with most locations, HCA has a minimum guarantee for the luncheons. If you make a reservation and do not attend, HCA is still responsible for the fees incurred. Therefore, if you make a reservation, your cancellation must be made by 5:00 pm Friday prior to the event. If not, an invoice will be sent to you so that the expenses may be recouped.

If you have a specific topic you wish to have presented or speaker you would like to hear, please contact Greta Walters, Brandi Domec, or any Board Member.
